About

About:
With a background in architecture, Amanda Li Hope creates jewellery with a minimal, sleek, and geometric aesthetic. Having studied and practised architecture in New York and London, Amanda has as strong background in contemporary design. She is also a Fairtrade gold jeweller and works with ethical gemstones and diamonds. Her contemporary design ethos combined with using fully traceable and accountable materials allows her to create pieces that are simple and clean in their design, as well in their provenance.
Amanda designs and makes all of her pieces in her studio in Clerkenwell, London, where she alloys her own Fairtrade gold. In a way, this makes her an ‘alchemist’ (but with real gold!), as she plays with the ratios of added alloys to create golds in an array of hues from red, yellow, green or white - or anything in between.

In addition to developing her own collections, she particularly enjoys working with clients to create their very own bespoke pieces. She loves the creative process behind coming up with a design that unique and special, and encourages an open the dialogue between herself and the client. Upon request, she will even photograph the steps of the piece being made. Commissioning a bespoke piece of jewellery is a fun and exciting process and makes the story behind the occasion of giving, or receiving, the final piece very special.
